Mixed Experience Mat Yoga
Description
The style of yoga I teach is alignment-based yoga, an embodied and practical approach to yoga, breathwork and meditation, accessible for all ages and abilities. You don't need to be flexible to start! Each week I teach a different sequence of poses (asana) with the intention that the students experience a full range of physical yoga: standing poses, seated and floor poses, twists and abdominal, forward bends and backbends. We begin the class with a breathing exercise (pranayama) and breath awareness is continued throughout the class. The class always ends with a meditation practice and then a lying down relaxation known as Savasana. Discussion and feedback are actively encouraged in my classes. Please feel free to ask questions. Yoga is about self-discovery. We are all unique. Our bodies and minds are different and there is no one right way. Everyone is working with their own experience.
